Day 1: At your arrival to San José, a representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer you on a shuttle service to your town hote . Accommodation at the Hotel Villa Tournon or similar hotel in San Jose. Breakfast is included.
Day 2: In the morning a representative of the Car Rental Company will deliver your 4WD vehicle to your hotel. You have a 7 day rental of a Daihatsu Beego or similar included in your package. Mandatory CDW Insurance (aprox. $15 per day) and safety deposit are not covered. Today you will drive to the Arenal Volcano, one of the most active ones in the world. On the way you can visit the Poas Volcano with its impressive crater and tropical cloud forest. Accommodation at the Casa Luna Lodge or similar hotel in La Fortuna. Breakfast is included.
Day 3: Day at leisure in the area for activities. You can visit the lava fields at the Arenal Volcano National Park, take a walk to the Fortuna Waterfalls or enjoy one of the Hot Spring Resorts around the volcano. Accommodation at the Casa Luna Lodge or similar hotel in La Fortuna. Breakfast is included.
Day 4: After breakfast you will continue your trip driving the road around the spectacular Lake Arenal until you reach the town of Santa Elena, where the Monteverde Biological Reserve is located. This afternoon you can enjoy a walk on the nature trails of this amazing Nature Preserve, home of the most beautiful bird of the Americas: the Quetzal. Accommodation at the Cloud Forest Lodge or similar hotel in Monteverde. Breakfast is included.
Day 5: Morning at leisure to enjoy the area. You can swing in the top of the trees on a Canopy Tour or enjoy the Cloud Forest from above at the Hanging Bridges. In the afternoon you will drive down to the Pacific and will take the coastal road towards Manuel Antonio National Park. Accommodation at the Cloud Forest Lodge or similar hotel in Monteverde. Breakfast is included.
Day 6: Day at leisure in Manuel Antonio for activities like a hiking at the National Park where you can enjoy pristine beaches surrounded by the rain forest. Accommodation at the Hotel Rancho Casa Grande or similar hotel in Quepos/Manuel Antonio Area. Breakfast is included.
Day 7: Day at leisure in Manuel Antonio. The area offers a variety of activities like kayaking, snorkeling, ATV tours or horseback riding. Accommodation at the Hotel Rancho Casa Grande or similar hotel in Quepos/Manuel Antonio Area. Breakfast is included.
Day 8: Today you will drive back to San Jose and will return your car at the Airport location of the car rental company. Guests flying out of San Jose on DAY 8 before noon have to stay an additional night in San Jose.
